Port of Montreal: All Aboard!

Summary

To bring to life and grasp the significance of its port activities in our lives, the Port of Montreal has supported the establishment of the Port Interpretation Center at Montreal's Grand Quay. This center houses a permanent exhibition featuring interactive digital gaming stations equipped with touch screens, as well as phygital elements.

Constraints

1. Fashion an inclusive experience that resonates across diverse demographics, transcending age barriers.

2. Stealthily infuse the gameplay with an element of fun, making education an unexpected delight.

3. Craft an array of experiences, tailored to varying scales of ambition while adhering to budgetary boundaries.

4. Navigate the intricacies of orchestrating the design process within a consortium of multiple companies.

More Details

I've crafted 6 distinct games from the array of visitor stations on offer:
1.
Quiz Station 1 with the drag-and-drop twist, a digital dance of choices unveiling the intricate world of port and merchant vessel environmental standards.
2.
Quiz Station 2, another drag-and-drop extravaganza, testing your mettle in the logging universe, where you call the shots.
3.
The Choice Galore Quiz Station, a bustling emporium revealing the parade of everyday goods journeying through the port – tap your way through!
4.
Behold the Interactive Multiplayer Table, a playground for up to 8 competitors racing their cargoes from pixel to pixel. The central screen is your scoreboard, each player with their own trusty touchpad for mini-game triumphs.
5.
Set sail into the Navigation Station, boasting a basic-level design (think blueprint sketches and strategic charts). Chart your course through diverse scenes – whales crossing, rain dancing, and ship overtaking – all with the real-deal ship's wheel.
6.
Last but not least, dive into the Port Traffic Station. A game stirred by time-management like Cooking Fever, where you tango with the hustle and bustle of port roadways. The design? Raw and strategic (think outlines and flowcharts). Get ready to roll, sailor!
A level design has been implemented for each game, including tables, flowcharts and Rational Level Design documents.
