A New Class with skills and a suit to upgrade as you want!
"The Delegate" DLC brings 8 zones with missions. After challenging corporate colonizers on Pandora, the Industrial Workers and Vault Hunters flee a bombarded ship to a supposed uninhabited island they planned to colonize. Players must now survive and thrive on this unexpected new home.
Constraints
1. Approximately 20-30 minutes of gameplay minimum.
2. Must be made in Unreal Engine (UDK).
3. Respect the franchise Borderlands.
4. Create a new playable class, new enemies and one level.
Design Process
Main Game Design Features : New Class, New Action Skill & Skilltree
CLASS : In conceptualizing the Borderlands 2 DLC, my design process embraced the creation of a novel class—enter the "Delegate." This formidable character emerged as a rogue union representative, defiantly opposing Hyperion's reign.
ACTION SKILL : Central to this expansion was the introduction of the groundbreaking "Suit" action skill. Functioning as a robotic exoskeleton, the Suit transformed gameplay dynamics, offering movement perks, formidable melee attacks, and an innovative cooperative aspect. Notably, this Suit could be utilized as a mobile vehicle, even in confined spaces during cooperative play. This novel addition not only redefined the DLC's gameplay but also injected fresh energy into collaborative exploration.

SKILLTREE : Within the skill tree of the Borderlands 2 DLC, a modular upgrade approach for the Suit opens a realm of combinations. The branches like "Acid House" offer corrosive enhancement, "Fuse Box" brings electrical damage, and "Hell's Kitchen" ignites fiery bonuses. Players can finely adjust both arms—maximizing close combat in the right arm and long-range precision in the left. This dynamic customization ensures each Suit becomes a distinct powerhouse on the battlefield.
ENEMIES : Within the Borderlands 2 DLC, the "Termites" emerge—a formidable fusion of Varkids and Spiderants—demanding adaptable strategies from players. This design innovation crafts fresh gameplay from a familiar foundation, offering players a thrilling encounter that feels new yet rooted in the game's core essence.
VEHICLE : Adding a groundbreaking element, the "Trimaran" vehicle revolutionizes gameplay by enabling water navigation. This versatile craft expands exploration horizons and transforms combat dynamics, reshaping the DLC's challenges.

Level Design Map
The inaugural level of the DLC, "Bay Island and Canyons," commences atop the landscape, necessitating players to battle their way down to the shoreline.
A pivotal objective and steadfast landmark within the DLC is the spaceship crash site, its billowing smoke visible from nearly any point across all levels, serving as a reliable point of reference.
Descending from the summits of the canyon's rock pillars offers an advantageous vantage point, allowing players to peer into the distance, strategize, and revel in spectacular jumps.

The configuration of the canyons and the placement of rock pillars serve a versatile purpose, including framing objectives and crucial information for players, creating a visual context that guides their exploration and engagement.
The presence of cacti in the game isn't solely ornamental; they play a strategic role in design. Functioning as breadcrumbs, they discreetly mark the golden path, key secondary routes, and highlight the proximity of valuable loot, enhancing the player's navigation and sense of discovery.

In Engine Overview
I took on a multi-faceted role in the creation of the "Blocky" level. First, I meticulously crafted the level's 3D models using 3DS Max, paying close attention to every detail.
Then, I brought the level to life through development, utilizing visual scripting in Kismet to create engaging interactive elements.
To give the level a distinctive look, I employed cel shading techniques within Unreal Engine, resulting in a visually captivating and memorable gaming experience.
