High Level Concept

Welcome to 'Life Span,' where you're not just saving a kingdom, but a an intricate intestinal ecosystem! Strategically fend off invading bad bacteria and break down nutrients in this unique twist on tower defense. From battling unruly invaders to capturing essential nutrients, your mastery of the microbiota will determine your host's health. Get ready for an unconventional journey into the microscopic world of digestive defense!

1. Developed a 2D game from a list of genres, the one selected for this project : Tower Defense.

2. Collaborative coding in team of 4.

Design & Development

Inside a team of 4, I was one of the game designer and the UI developer.
1.
I played a pivotal role in shaping the game's design by introducing the innovative concept of turning the microbiota and intestinal digestive system into a captivating tower defense experience. The decision to center the game around the intestine, the final frontier of nutrient absorption and digestion, adds a layer of depth and uniqueness to the gameplay. By integrating strategic tower defense mechanics within this microscopic world, players are immersed in an educational yet thrilling adventure that underscores the importance of maintaining a balanced ecosystem for overall health.

I took the reins in UI development, coding the side info panel and refining the tower upgrade system. The side panel keeps players informed, while the upgrade system adds strategic depth, offering a rewarding journey through the microbiotic battlefield.

I also brought in a game-changing feature: the fecal transplantation super weapon. When the brown gauge maxes out, players can trigger this unique attack, obliterating everything in the intestine. This clever addition amplifies strategy and educates, offering a humoristic and impactful gameplay experience.
Some lines of code were done to generate waves of "enemies".
